Nonnie’s 12 Days of “Authors!”

In today’s blog post, Christmas Bells and Rave Reviews Book Club, I talk about the many virtues of the club and why I love being a part of this group of nearly 600 authors and readers.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered I had been chosen as one of Nonnie’s 12 Days of “Authors!” on her blog post Nonnie Writes. This is just another reason I love being a part of this group and garnering the support of Nonnie Jules, author of Daydream’s Daughter/Nightmare’s friend, The Good Mommies’ Guide to Raising (almost) Perfect Daughters, and Sugarcoatin’ Is For Candy & Pacifyin’ Is For Kids!. Please hop on over and read her blog post and follow along to find out who is next on her 12 Days of “Authors!” list.

The Rave Awards! Have you voted?

Rave Reviews Book Club  is rounding out its first year with the Rave Awards. The club has been growing strong over the last 12 months. Book Club members and the public are invited to vote on their favorite Blog, On The Shelf Interview, and Book Trailer.

I am excited to say that I have been entered into all three categories! Please take a moment to hop on over and look at all the wonderful interviews, blogs, and book trailers and vote for your favorite (I hope that you like mine). Voting ends at midnight CT on December 5th.

I am getting my evening gown all ready for the red carpet! What color should I wear?

I began the year as Membership Director but as you all know my health is tenuous and I have stepped down as Membership Director and taken on the roll of a general member and Social Media Assistant. I am so happy and excited to be a part of this club. Rave Reviews Book Club has done so much for me this past year. If you are an avid reader, an author or soon-to-be author, please take a look at our FAQ page. If you like what you see and think our club is a good fit for you, click on the Join Here button and don’t forget to mention that I sent you.

In September I hosted Raani York on her blog tour to promote the release of her book, Dragonbride. Raani was generous and gave a gift away to one of her blog tour hosts. Imagine my surprise when I learned that I was the lucky recipient of a $50 Amazon Gift Card!

Today I used my gift card to purchase the perfect gift. You can learn about what I bought on today’s Allergic to Life blog post.

That Funny Little Voice in Your Head

Out of nowhere I would be driving to work and start crying as I was about to turn onto the street where my office was located.

How many times have you had that feeling deep in the pit of your stomach that tells you that something you are about to do is wrong? To read more of this blog post about that “little voice” in your head, please visit me on J.V. Carr’s blog.

I Am An Author

Today I am excited to be hosted on the blog of D. E. HaggertyIt still feels very strange to say, “I am an author”.

It still feels strange when those words roll of my tongue! I never set out to be an author. As a child I didn’t dream of writing books like those I loved checking out from the library every week. I was going to be a nurse until I realized that being a nurse meant dealing with needles and blood. To read more of my blog post, visit D. E. Haggerty’s blog and read the rest of my guest post.  Please take a moment to leave a comment and thank her for hosting me.

How I Got Here

Today I am honored to be featured on Notes From Tabor Lane penned by Katherine Logan.  I am so thrilled at the wonderful response I have received from my fellow Rave Reviews Book Club members in supporting my time as “Spotlight” Author.

My life was full and busy. I was a stay-at-home mother of two teen-aged daughters.  My life was wonderful and hectic.  If it weren’t for my at-a-glance calendar I would have been lost.  I was a board member of the local elementary school, a 4-H leader, president of the PTA, and a member of a local athletic booster club for young ladies at a new high school. When I wasn’t busy with community events I was playing Bunco with a group of women that I had met through PTA..to read more of my guest blog post with Katherine, please click on the link above.  Don’t forget to take a moment to leave a comment and thank her for hosting me.
